Got to be real..

Hmmmm so i've been thinking i should begin my blogging with EXACTLY this post, because well, everybody's raving about the best of the best, i.e. celebs. i myself have always wanted to borrow a little from my favorite celebs, just for the sake of it when it comes to their fabulousness, you know, the tendency to look up to someone, and because of their indisputable gorgeousness per se . well. some of these ladies embody my idea of perfection in terms of skin, body, hair, or just inner happiness and fulfillment. and some utterly don't. So i thought of arranging them according to Do's and Don't's. My faves to begin with....

# 1. Cheryl Cole

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Not too much, not too little. Clean skin, fabulous finish that doesn't even look like makeup, dramatic eye shadow and mascara and a fabulous coif. well played, mrs Cole. I'm especially in love with the so-called 'biscuit tan'- the imperceptibly darkened natural skin tone, a little darker than usual, that results in a beautifully enhanced natural beige-ness. Five stars!

# 2. Elizabeth Hurley

Classic look, fresh complexion and great smile, demure hair, a little eye chic-ness in terms of makeup and nothing more. No orange fake bake, no extensions, a little botox here and there but she's got the facial structure to back it up. Personally i'm not a huge fan of the white inliner, since i believe it ages the face a little and it looks like one's trying too much, but miz Hurley can surely afford this small faux pas.

# 3. Miranda Kerr

Always fresh-faced, huge smile, baby dimples and gorgeous hair that shines like crazy! I love the shimmering complexion, the invisible blush that's still 'there' somewhere, the demure eye makeup that just makes her natural features pop out even more than a dramatic one, the rosy fresh lips.

# 4. Angelina Jolie

No comment, one of the most beautiful women in the entire world i assume, the most (naturally) beautiful Hollywood actresses who is most probably going to age gracefully as well. I wasn't very keen on her old Morticia Addams eye makeup, hugely winged and way too black, but nowadays Angie looks totally fabulous.

# 5. Jennifer Lopez

Sigh for the huge brown eyes and romantic eyelashes...the arched brows and the silky olive skin..not to mention the naturally dark hair and the curvaceous body. JLo is one of the classiest looking artists in the entertainment industry and i'm completely in love with 99% of all her wardrobe and makeup choices (some little malfunctions are to be excused).

# 6. Beyonce

I mostly admire Beyonce's versatility in terms of looks. Blond wigs, blond highlights, fringe or no fringe, ponytails, bangs, Jackie Onassis-esque hair buns, honey waves, poker-straight street-style coifs, brown locks, you name it. It's all Bee's. I'm also a fervent admirer of her makeup style and her wardrobe picks- i'm constantly trying to emulate that perfect, fresh and glowing skin, daring or silky blusher, the enhanced eye features namely Bambi lashes and carefully groomed eyebrows and the nude lips.

# 7. Olivia Palermo

Again, another stunning beauty whose makeup style i am constantly trying to adopt- eyes in the close-up, the mattest canvas for face and fresh, dewy lips. Olivia Palermo is probably one of the few celebrities who can afford going out without any drop of makeup on.

# 8. Kim Cattrall

Let's talk about age, baby, ta da daaa daaa....i don't honestly think about Kim's age whenever i see her in SATC or in photos. While not doubting at all the copiousness of the Photoshop efforts that have been engaged in Miss Cattrall's digital enhancement for the sake of the industry, what i sincerely admire are her facial features. She's that kind of woman on whom every outfit looks good, who can wear any color or have any hairstyle or hair color and still look gorgeous. From my perspective it is very hard to have 'the face', that type of bone structure combined with perfect features, and Kim has it all. The straight-yet-snubby nose, arched eyebrows and warm eyes, beautiful lips and oval cheekbones.

# 9. Charlize Theron

Angelic face+ perfect skin+ bright blue eyes+ very natural(ly looking) blond hair+ perfect body= GORGEOUSNESS.

# 10. Jessica Stam

Hello dolly and need i say more. this girl is too gorgeously looking for words to be needed.

...and another one bites the dust- the don't's:

# 1. Lady Gaga

Seriously now. Gimmicky all the way, bad makeup and just-don't-try-this-at-home outfits. Go away.

# 2. Paris Hilton

...whereas it might appear that no words should be added, i sometimes like Paris' makeup and hair. what i don't like (at all) are her accessory choices, like bouffant hair ribbons, polka-dotted hairbands, trashy contact lenses...not to mention all of her outfits. complete dont's, all the way. as Dolly Parton once said, it costs a lot of money to look that cheap.

# 3. Kim Kardashian

don't get me wrong, i think KK is a very beautiful girl who should just take it easy with the makeup. makeup is supposed to enhance your NATURAL features, not make you look like you used to be Nikki Sixx's groupie in the '90's. too much navy eyeshadow, too many false eyelashes, too much powder, too much blusher, too much, too much...just TOO MUCH! and the worst is that she doesn't even need it to begin with.

# 4. Megan Fox

again, another gorgeous girl who downplays her natural beauty for apparently no reason whatsoever. girlfriend needs to ease up on that eyebrow pencil/powder and give skincare a chance (acne and acne scars- definite no-no. you're a celebrity for Pete's sake, you can afford it), and also get someone to properly match her skin tone. washed off face- not a good idea.

# 5. Fergie

Tattooed eyebrows? Nope thanks. Dark brown lip liner? Never. Extensions? only if carefully washed, brushed and groomed, not picked from the bottom of some trash can. hair dye? looks like it can't even be named.

# 6. Christina Aguilera

somehow this extremely talented singer always ends up looking like a hooker who has spent the night in jail- ratty hair (extensions), shiny face that looks like it could need some serious soap and water, sticky, gunky foundation visible even at the most superficial look, last thursday's eyeliner, false lash galore and bleeding red lips. i just don't understand what is wrong with her.

# 7. Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen

call me a redneck but i don't understand the philosophical Nitzschean grunge-esque substrata of their fashion choices. I don't understand why wear derelict clothes and not washing your hair in weeks, or having yesterday's makeup for that matter. some of their outfits are brilliant, but most of them are genuine eye sores. and don't get me started on the makeup. (this picture is actually of Ashley only)

# 8. Victoria Beckham

I love most of her outfits, i hate most of her makeup looks. Just terrible. cakey, sometimes greasy-looking skin, sometimes awfully dry, terrible eyebrow shape, too much eyeliner...sigh.

# 9. Lindsay Lohan

i seriously believe she can't see colors. her hair never matches her eyebrow color, her skin always looks like she either sleeps in a hot oven or on the bottom of the ocean, her makeup is a tragedy from A to Z, her clothes are mismatched and her fingernails are dirty. eew and double eew.

# 10. Pamela Anderson

GOOD LORD!! GO AWAY!!!
